Nothing is better on a warm summer turning fall night than some fresh peach cobbler. What makes that even better is when you’re using an easy peach cobbler recipe that doesn’t take hours of your evening to prepare.

My aunt’s peach trees were going crazy this year. She had already froze enough peaces to make 8 pies this winter and still had dozens and dozens hanging off the trees! I decided to take advantage of this and pick some of my own for a sweet treat.

Why Peach Cobbler?

My plan was to make a peach pie but after I saw the amount of work that was going to be, peach cobbler sounded like a better idea. Not only is this recipe super delicious, it’s also super easy to make. You’ll only need 15 minutes to prep it and the rest of the magic happens in the oven!

The perfect dessert to have after a long day…or for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of peaches peeled, cored, and sliced

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Batter ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • ground cinnamon

Directions

  • Warm the sauce pan and add the peaches, sugar and salt. Stir to combine on medium heat. Cook just until sugar is dissolved – this helps bring out the juices from the peaches. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from the heat and set to the side.
  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Slice the butter inso pieces and place in the 9×13 dish. Put the baking dish in the oven and let the butter melt. Once it is melted, remove from the oven.
  • In a large bowl mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Pour the mixture in the pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Place the peaches and juice over the batter. Sprinkle with cinnamon to your hearts desire.
  • Bake at 350 for 38 minutes.
  • Try not to eat all 9 servings yourself.

Notes

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream to really top it off!
